Our General & Preventative Dental Services Include:

Routine Teeth Cleanings

It is suggested that patients should be seen for a dental cleaning and a routine exam every 6 months or as recommended by your dentist. During the cleaning, plaque and calculus will be removed from your teeth leaving behind a bright and polished smile. X-rays may need to be taken to help detect possible cavities in between teeth that cannot be seen by the naked eye.

Fillings

To restore a tooth that has been negatively affected by decay, fractures, and cracks, a dental filling is recommended to recover full utility of the tooth. For your convenience, we will remove the decayed or injured tooth, cleanse, and fill it within one visit to the office. We provide composite fillings matched to the color of your present tooth for your aesthetic comfort. Your smile will be back to its intended sparkle in no time!

Periodontal Services

Known for being a bit sneaky, periodontal disease can develop rapidly without warning. You may not feel it and your mouth may look just fine until it’s progressed to an unfortunately notable degree. When left untreated, periodontal disease has the potential to destroy the supportive bone structure of the mouth. Early treatment and preventative care are crucially important! This is why Dr. Hatcher and his entire team ensure special care is taken to prevent any potential periodontal disease from developing and have equipped themselves with the best technology for treatment.

Laser Dentistry

Our dental team uses a soft-tissue laser to help in the treatment of periodontal disease. This allows us to achieve optimal results with a non-invasive, non-surgical method.

Sealants

Beyond proper, regular, home, and professional dental cleanings, this is the next line of defense in protecting your children’s growing teeth from decay. Within a short appointment, the application of sealants are applied with a simple procedure and are placed on the permanent molars as they erupt in your child’s mouth. Made of a flowable resin that is applied to the deep pits and fissures of teeth, they offer impeccable protection from harmful acids and plaque build-up that is often found in the mouth.

Dental Emergencies

Dental emergencies require prompt treatment. If you are experiencing a dental emergency, call Hatcher Dental Group immediately at 816-279-1678 (make click to call), and the front desk will schedule you as soon as possible.

Our Cosmetic Dental Services Include:

Orthodontics
If you have an overcrowded mouth, an under or overbite, or major gaps between teeth, not only can it be aesthetically bothersome, but can cause pain when eating, as well as leading to difficulty with proper care. It can be nearly impossible to floss or reach all teeth with a toothbrush if they are layered onto one another, and larger gaps leave room for gum injury. Orthodontics can help you achieve oral comfort you’ve never experienced, while helping to prevent disease and decay.

It is never too early, or too late to get started with an orthodontic plan. From pre-teens to the retired, we provide traditional metal braces, white braces to match your teeth, as well as Lumineers and Invisalign for an more stealthy orthodontic experience.

Lumineers®

If you’re self-conscious about your smile, LUMINEERS can completely transform your smile in just two simple visits. LUMINEERS are contact-thin veneers made out of porcelain that are fitted to the patient’s teeth without the need of grinding, shaving, or drilling. They are an easy solution for chipped, misaligned, or discolored teeth. Unlike traditional veneers, with LUMINEERS, there are no shots, no drilling of sensitive tooth structure, and no pain.

Same Day Crowns With CEREC® Technology

(CEREC: Chairside Economical Restorations of Esthetic Ceramic)

Traditionally, if crowns, onlays, inlays, or dental veneers were required to restore damaged teeth, multiple procedures and a great deal of waiting time in-between were expected. CEREC® creates quality ceramic restorations within minutes right at our dental office! This means that many treatments can be completed in just a single visit. CEREC® is comprised of several computer-assisted design (CAD) tools and a milling machine that creates custom ceramic restorative devices. This is of great benefit to nervous patients, and also reduces the cost of treatment.

Invisalign®

Invisalign® is an orthodontic system that straightens teeth without the use of traditional braces. A series of clear plastic aligners are utilized to create tooth movement. Moving teeth with removable aligners provides a comfortable invisible way to have teeth aligned and your smile restored.

Invisalign® is recommended for most orthodontic situations with mild to moderate spacing or crowding. The aligners are virtually undetectable, easy to use, and comfortable to wear.

Bridges And Traditional Crowns
When you’ve lost a tooth completely, or we have determined it is too weak to support regular function without extra backing, bridges and crowns can come in handy! Depending on your preference, there are different selections for the material used in creating your crowns and false teeth for bridge work: porcelain with metal or gold alloys, or ceramic matched to your tooth color. We’re happy to help guide you through this decision process.

If the CEREC® treatments above are outside of your comfort zone, or is not covered by insurance, then we recommend a traditional crown. They are sturdy, long lasting and comfortable. Crowns utilize already existing teeth that we will refine to a smaller and flatter service, to then attach a cap, otherwise known as a crown. Crowns completely cover the injured tooth/teeth for a strong, and complete smile.

If you have totally lost one or more teeth, and implants do not seem like the best fit for you, we also provide bridges. A bridge consists of artificial teeth that use the surrounding and healthy teeth as their base, to be anchored to with dental cement, hence the name “bridge”.

Partials and Dentures
If you have gone through a major health related issue, or have experienced oral decay that has reduced the number of strong teeth able to help with eating and proper speech, we recommend partials or dentures.

Partials are very similar to the aforementioned bridgework, however, they are false teeth that are cemented to a retainer, rather than being placed permanently with dental cement. This way, you can remove partials at your convenience for eating, cleaning, and sleep.

Dentures are not all that dissimilar to partials, however dentures generally involve replacement of your entire group of teeth, either on the top or bottom jaw, or both. Dentures provide a completely new set of teeth that you may remove as needed, just like partials. You can have the shiniest and straightest teeth you’ve ever wanted with Dentures!
Laser Dentistry

Used for precise revitalization of the contour of your gum line to relieve what is referred to as a “gummy smile.” This can mean uneven gums, excess gum tissue and the look of an overly gummy smile. We can even decrease the length and severity of cold and canker sores by utilizing the laser. Fortunately with laser dentistry, the need for anesthesia or sutures, and overall discomfort, are greatly minimized.

If there’s any procedure you don’t see here, contact us and ask! We’re happy to hear from you at 816-279-1678.
